About the project
Flight-1 skydiving is the world’s premier source of parachute (“canopy”) piloting skillbuilding for both military and civilian skydivers. We created Flight-1’s original digital interface about a decade ago and have been working with the organization ever since; as such, we create, optimize, maintain and service the systems that allow them to bring excellent instruction to athletes worldwide.
Flight-1 has been steadily growing over the years we’ve been working with them. Due to that increased load -- and in order to keep the codebase up-to-date -- we engaged with them to execute a complete change of both the visual design and technical architecture for the Sport area of Flight-1’s offerings. We updated the technical foundations to deliver a fresh, new look, a positive, functional user experience and a maintainable and expandable platform (which allows both Clearview and Flight-1 to build upon the system’s already comprehensive existing features).
- The renewed Flight-1 Sport application is built to allow students to quickly find and book specific courses tailored to their needs while at the same time streamlining the workflow for F-1’s numerous staff of instructors. Students are able to easily follow their progress and maintain personal profiles.
- Dropzone owners/managers are offered significant insight into the various metrics surrounding dropzone operations.
- Flight-1 administrators now enjoy much more seamless and efficient communication with students, instructors and dropzone managers alike (as most frequent tasks and actions are now automated and paperwork-free).
- The application has been tailored specifically for Flight-1 Sports’ business requirements and robustly supports multiple external integrations: Smartwaiver, Calendly, Merit, Quickbooks, Stripe payments, SurveyMonkey, Mailchimp
