Senior Full-Stack Developer / Tech Lead

About You

Are you an exceptionally strong Senior Full Stack Developer ready to step up as a Technical Leader? Do you combine deep technical expertise with the ability to guide and inspire a development team? We're looking for someone who can not only write excellent code but also establish technical direction and help improve the skills of those around them. If you want to work remotely on challenging projects within a great community, you'll be a perfect fit for Clearview's Tech Lead position.

We are currently seeking a senior engineer with ironclad coding skills and proven leadership capabilities to drive technical excellence across projects. As a Tech Lead at Clearview, you'll be the technical compass for your team - setting standards, making key architecture decisions, mentoring other engineers, and working closely with management and clients to ensure project success. This role goes beyond senior development to include technical leadership that shapes both our code and our engineering culture.

The Role & Responsibilities:

  • Build web and mobile applications using best practices
  • Set up development and architecture-related processes
  • Write tech documentation
  • Spec features and tasks
  • Test, debug, and perform code reviews
  • Take the lead in new initiatives to improve Clearview processes and standards
  • Communicate daily with clients and Clearview management

You’ll need to be:

  • Well along in your career, with 7+ years of experience.
  • Possessing an entrepreneurial mindset is a fluid role between engineering and management. You’ll work closely with client and Clearview management and be the project’s key tech decision-maker.
  • Ready to exert a high level of independence in making choices and creating initiatives.
  • Fluent in the English language, both spoken and written.
  • A high-level communicator.
  • Experienced in managing a small, self-directed team of developers.
  • Strong and proactive in your engagement with clients to brainstorm, discover needs, and plan projects.
  • A fully proactive and self-directed time-management expert

What we expect of you:

  • As a senior-level developer, you’ll actively drive code review and architecture choices, mentor other developers, and be key in directing the evolution of our projects.
  • You have strong experience and understand the ins and outs of JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Advanced knowledge of React, React Native and Expo
  • Be very happy getting into the code. Your hands will get dirty.
  • Mentor and inspire your team, and set the best development principles and processes in place.
  • Participate in design sessions with your team members, coming up with the optimum technical solution: one that not only meets business requirements, but does so with performance, scalability and maintainability in mind.
  • Innovate. There’s always something we can improve upon, whether it be process or tools or technology choices. If you can dream it, you’ll likely get to build it.

It would be awesome if:

  • You have some experience working remotely (but if you’re a clear communicator with rock-solid reliability and you’re curious about leaping remote, we’ll guide you through it)
  • You understand the Infra, AWS / GCP / Docker services and ecosystem
  • You understand CI/CD tools
  • You have some experience with AI-assisted programming with Cursor, Windsurf, or similar tools.
